Gymnema

¿Qué es?

Gymnema (Gymnema sylvestre) es una planta originaria de India y África con un historial de uso en la medicina ayurvédica. Tiene poca evidencia de beneficios para la salud.

Gymnema contiene sustancias químicas que reducen la cantidad de azúcar que absorbe el estómago. También podría aumentar la cantidad de insulina en el cuerpo y aumentar el crecimiento de células en el páncreas, que es donde el cuerpo produce insulina.
